- Create and implement strategic plans for expanding and enhancing the core IP network.
- Perform capacity planning to ensure network scalability and performance.
- Work with various teams to align network plans with business goals.
- Design network architecture to meet organizational performance, reliability, and security needs.
- Assess new technologies and suggest improvements for network infrastructure.
- Set up and configure core IP network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Execute network upgrades and optimizations to support business growth and security enhancements.
- Integrate security solutions to defend against cyber threats.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide expert resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Oversee daily operations of the core IP network, including upgrades, integration, monitoring, and incident management.
- Develop procedures for monitoring and optimizing network performance.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for network support.
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and DDoS protection.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with the security team to protect against threats and manage security incidents.
Ihr Profil
- At least 5 years of experience in IP networks, with a focus on network security.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Proven expertise in network planning, design, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking principles, protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and services.
- Proficiency in network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, CGNAT, encryption).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, Librenms, Grafana, Telegraph, Nagios).
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French and German is a plus.
